What is AIPMT ?
All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) is a national examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The exam is conducted as a criterion for students to get admission into various medical degrees including BDS and MBBS courses all over India. Aspirants must qualify the preliminary test to apply for the main exam.AIPMT qualified students have 15% reserved seats in all medical colleges and universities which are run by the State Government, Central Government, Union of India and other local certified authorities of India. All states except Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir have these seats reserved for AIPMT candidates.
An All India merit list of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in AIPMT examination. Candidate shall be admitted to MBBS / BDS courses under 15% All India Quota Seats and seats under the control of participating state governments/ Universities / Institutions as in the list in information bulletin. Admissions in State Medical Colleges / Universities / Institutions / AFMC Pune other than 15% All India Quota: In case a State / University / Institution opts to admit students in its medical colleges from the merit list of AIPMT , it may prepare separate rank list based on All India rank in AIPMT and other criteria decided by it. List of States / Universities / Institutions that have decided to use the result of AIPMT  as in the list in Information Bulletin. Candidates seeking admission in seats other than 15% All India Quota are advised to visit the websites of State / University / Institution as mentioned in bulletin, and contact their authorities concerned in advance for eligibility criteria and other details for admission. Admission to Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune shall be subject to the norms prescribed by the Directorate of Armed Force medical Services, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Candidates who apply for AIPMT 2014 and also seeking admission in AFMC will have to apply on the website of AFMC. Reservation of Seats in Government Medical Colleges Under 15% All India Quota: 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates. 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates. 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer of OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions. 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Eligibility
1) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

2) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.

3) Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. Candidate must born between -
(a) 31.12.80 to 31.12.93 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 31.12.85 to 31.12.93 (Other Category)

4) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

AIPMT Exam Pattern
AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical Test) is the gateway exam to score seats under 15% All India quota for medical colleges.

The Exam is set for duration of 3 hours

The question paper consists of 180 multiple choice questions from

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Botany
  • Zoology

The total weightage if the paper is 720 marks. The examination is held in Hindi and English and each question is awarded with 4 marks if answered right and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

The exam offers approx. 2200 MBBS and 300 BDS seats in 130 Government Medical and 30 Dental colleges of India

Syllabus for AIPMT
The Medical Council of India (MCI) recommended the following syllabus for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT), 2014 to MBBS/BDS courses across the country (AIPMT) after review of various State syllabi as well as those prepared by CBSE,NCERT and COBSE. This is to establish uniformity across the country keeping in view the relevance of different areas in Medical Education.

AIIMS 2016 MBBS EXAM, APPLICATION FORM, ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, EXAM DATES 

AIIMS MBBS Exam is a National Level Under Graduate Medical Entrance Exam which is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi for getting admission in MBBS programme. Interested and Eligible applicants can submit their Application form from the month of March 2016. There are total 7 AIIMS Institution Located across India. Which offers 672 MBBS seats. The examination is conducted in 154 Cities across the Nation. Possibly, The AIIMS 2016 MBBS Examination will be held in the month of June 2016.

Eligibility Criteria :
(i) Interested Candidates must have Completed their 10+2 or its Equivalent Exam with Subjects English & Phy, Che, Bio from a recognized Universityand Secured 60% aggregate in case of General and OBC category candidates (50% for SC/ST category Students)

(ii) Candidates must be a citizen of India

(iii) The age of candidate should be 17 years on or before 31st December 2016. 

How to Apply For AIIMS MBBS Exam 2016 :
(i) All the Students are required to go through the official website of AIIMS i. e. www.aiimsexams.org and fill up the application form mentioned over there.

(ii) While filling the Application form candidates are required to provide information such as Name, Email Id, Phone number, qualification etc.

(iii) After filling up the required details, candidates are requires to upload their passport size photograph and signature. 

(iv) The next step is paying the application fees; no matter you are applying online or offline.

(v) Candidates Should Keep a copy of receipt for future referenc. 

Application Fees for AIIMS MBBS Exam 2016 :
Cadidates for General and OBC category are required to pay the Application fees Rs. 1000/-, wheres for SC/ST category applicants, it is Rs. 800/-

AIIMS 2016 MBBS Exam Pattern : 
The examination paper will be in two languages only i.e. Hindi and English.
The format of question paper is computer based and contains 200 multiple choice questions.
The duration of exam is 3 hours 30 minutes.
1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer and 1 mark for each correct answer.
The question paper will contin 60 questions from Physics, 60 questions from Chemistry, 60 questions from Biology and 20 questions from General Knowledge.
